About Us
Beth Holland is a wife, mother, former home schooler, retired singer/actress and former UGA Faculty member of the Department of Drama and Theatre. After years of prayer and searching for a way to improve her family’s health, (and rid herself of recurring sinus infections), she learned about the nutritional value of milling her own grains. Her family’s illnesses ceased, and very quickly she became totally free of sinus infections! In the many years of milling their own grains, they have seen a marked increase in the overall level of their health. The health benefits observed led Beth to seek why this works, which can be seen in her 5 ½ hour seminar DVD. Beth balances her above mentioned roles and still bakes her family’s breads, rolls, desserts and breakfast treats. Through her materials, she demonstrates simple and time efficient recipes that let you be creative without being complicated, so that your family can enjoy the wholesome goodness of freshly ground grains in a variety of ways. Many of the foods we eat for convenience are literally making us sick because they are devoid of the fiber and nutrients that are essential to our health. Yet, vital life-giving whole foods are available to you. It is Beth’s intention to make these healthier food options easily accessible for you.
General History
Beth graduated from the University of Georgia with Performance degrees in Voice and Acting, focusing on Musical Theatre. She has performed many of her favorite roles in that genre. For spending money while in college, Beth sang Jazz, standards and Broadway tunes with a band, but quit to pursue the world of opera. She won an opera scholarship to NY where she roomed and sang with (later International and Metropolitan Opera diva) Renée Fleming. She has sung in the US and Europe, as well as made TV appearances on multiple networks, including working with Disney Productions. Beth has directed, staged and choreographed musicals and judged many vocal competitions, including for many years judging the Babbie Mason audition for new artists. She continues to encourage young artists. She has sung in churches, prisons, on radio, television and open-air concerts. In the early 1990s, Beth returned to UGA at the request of her major professor and department head and was hired upon her performance résumé to teach in the Department of Drama & Theatre. She left UGA to home-school her daughters, both of whom won full scholarships to the colleges of their choice, earned Masters and are now gainfully employed in their chosen fields. While home-schooling, she wrote a book entitled Learning with the Movies to help homeschoolers, Christian educators and families to use films for educational purposes and for clean family entertainment.
